A NOVEL AUTHORING TOOL FOR XR ENVIRONMENTS!

Most of the current VR/RA content in the market has been created by highly technical and talented teams experienced in the use of professional tools. However, there is a steep learning curve required for such development. OVA's StellarX platform, a Quebec-based innovation, is a novel new way to create fully accessible VR/RA content. Like the re-imagined ReBoot conference, we want to shape the future of education through innovation and collaboration.

Participants in this workshop will explore robust content creation tools for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). The presenter will explain how applying lessons learned from the past can help create the future of VR/RA. The workshop will explore UX design lessons from a series of RV/RA tools for creating virtual worlds, games and applications, including StellarX, OVA's award-winning immersive content creation tool. This presentation will explore the interface, interaction, production features and techniques for using immersive tools to give learning designers practical superpowers!

The session will try to answer questions including: Since users want to inspect objects in the digital worlds closely, how do you address this fidelity problem? How much realism do you need in immersive presentations in order to really affect the brain's perception levels?

CREATION OF XR

You will learn how to use a programming-free 3D content creation tool.

3D IMPORTING

You will learn how to import new 3D objects from the Google library into the content creation tool.

CREATE YOUR OWN VIRTUAL WORLD

You will be able to create your virtual world using objects from your, and other worlds.

IMMERSION IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT: THE FIRST STEPS TOWARDS IMMERSIVE TRAINING

Participants of this workshop will discover pedagogical approaches for the use of immersive training. A fictitious case will be presented, and the group will participate in the development of a training architecture based on specific learning objectives.

3D CONVERSION

In less than 15 minutes, a prototype of an immersive environment will then be produced! Participants will be able to experience the solution and discuss alternative architectures to achieve different goals and objectives.
